Country Barn - Kristie Doyle plays something old, something new in the world of country music that everyone agrees is so easy to listen to.  Co-host "Uncle Ed" adds a bit of humor and Southern yarns...he loves to spin.  Even people who don't care for country music tell us that they love Country Barn programs!

Mystery Train - Bob Reichers has a unique program  featuring very rare tracks, unreleased tracks and albums, studio sessions, and many albums not even released in the U.S.A..  These are songs not heard on virtually any other radio station. You may listen to memorable Mystery Train rebroadcasts of 5 seasons on "Mystery Train - The Archives".

Gary Nelson's Oldies Partry - Another veteran New England broadcaster who really loves the 50's and early 60's oldies rock and spices things up with some hilarious comments on the music, artists and beating up on his station manager.  Nothing is spared on this show....everything is fair game!

Red Bud Ramble - The VERY best in traditional bluegrass with insights on artists, song origins, and a huge kniowlegde base on anything that is bluegrass.  Every so often Erol Arsenault, comes by to deliver an awesome "Cape Breton Version" with tons of Cape Breton folk music!

WJZF Website Account - Confirmed? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Wednesday, 01 July 2009
When you sign up for an account on the WJZF.org web site, the system should send you a confirmation email detailing your access account, and asking you to click a link in the email that takes you back to the WJZF.org site to confirm your account.  If you do not confirm your account, we do not get a message to enable your account and therefore we do not enable it.  This is how we can be assured you are not being spammed or someone is not setting up an account in your name.

Occassionally, the confirmaiton email gets lost, or filtered in a spam filter, or you just forget to click the link to confirm your account.  We periodically clear out unconfirmed accounts, as I did today.  You can try registering again, or better yet, contact me (via the Contact Us page) or one of the WJZF staff so they can tell me of the issue.  We'll get your account established pronto even if we have to do it manually!

Hope you all participate and enjoy keeping the airwaves free for all!  Have happy and a safe Fourth of July, too!

How to Access the WJZF Site PDF Print E-mail

Ok, so you've been listening to WJZF either via the FM airwaves or via the live streaming over the Internet, and now you want to comment on what a great show, or perhaps post a comment relevant to the political or sports leanings of our hosts, or maybe just a quick note with ideas for new shows.  How do you do that?  Well, we have the Forums section here on WJZF.org just for that purpose!

To access the forums, all you need is a user account, which you can easily get (it's FREE!) by clicking the Register text below the Logon section on the lower left.  Fill out the requested info using an active email account (you'll need an email account to confirm you wanted to registered on the site), and within a day or two after you confirm your request, we'll set your account up.  Then, you simply log into the site and access the Forums and other areas, and post your comments and criticisms and suggestions!  The good thing is, our show authors and staffers also have direct access to the forums, so you're talking directly to them!

For WJZF staffers, if you haven't got your account yet, sign up and notify me, Gordon Cunningham, that you've set up your account, and we'll get you proper staff access to the site.  There is a private Staff Only forum for WJZF volunteers, and of course ways to post other info about yourself, your show, and the station in general.

We also have WJZF.org email addresses for volunteers and staff, which we can set up for anyone on staff, and are accessible via either a web site or your own email program like Outlook Express, etc.  Just ask!

One more neat feature is real-time Chat.  We've added it is test format at present, but it seems to be working just fine.  Plan a meeting time to chat up your favorite WJZF friends and hosts - it's all freely available 24x7!

Hope to see you online at WJZF.org soon!
